Quercus virginiana, The Live Oak
The Live Oaks of Boone Hall near Charleston are a sight to behold. The Spanish Moss that grows on Live Oaks adds to the beauty.
The leaves are a dark and thick-shiny evergreen.
One of the owners planted a long row of the these majestic trees that grow up the drive.

These trees are amazing. We have two that are older and what an impact they have at our place! Messy but beautiful. Happy Holiday!!
ReplyDeleteThis is such a beautiful tree. I have photos of the Emancipation Oak and many of the Oak inside the moat at Fort Monroe are Live Oak.
